I install most floor coverings; I currently do not stain concrete or do epoxy floor coatings.
- Among the many floor types I install and/or repair and services I offer are:
- Carpet Installation & Repair - soft surface floors, synthetic & natural fiber, tufted, woven, pattern carpet a specialty, directly glued or stretched-in wall-to wall; area rugs, stair runners, seam repair, re-stretching and patches, etc.
- Hardwood Flooring Installation & Repair - Factory finished or site finished, domestic and imported exotic species including bamboo; solid and engineered, installed floating, glued direct, nailed or stapled down. I also offer re-coating and refinishing services, plank replacement & repair of termite and other local damage.
- Laminate Flooring Installation & Repair - Constructed with a hard plastic wear layer laminated to a wood composite core. Consumers often generally refer to this popular type of flooring as “Pergo”, though that is a brand name like Ketchup is a brand of catsup. Many good brands of laminate are available and this floor is usually installed floating.
- Resilient Flooring - vinyl sheet, luxury vinyl plank & tile (LVT), rubber sheet & tile, linoleum, vinyl composition tile (VCT), green alternatives like cork and leather; directly adhered to the subfloor, perimeter attached or floating.
- Hard Surface Tile - ceramic, porcelain and stone tile, mosaic and the new large format square and rectangular floor tile. I’ll occasionally install wall tile, while outside the scope of my license, I’ll install backsplashes and showers if the work falls within the guidelines of what is often referred to as the handyman exemption.
- Some Other Essential Services - material delivery, baseboard & trim work, baluster installation, furniture and appliance moving, old flooring removal, dust controlled concrete sub-floor grinding for contaminate removal (cleaning), flattening & repair, concrete sub-floor moisture testing and remediation.
